ISSP UL visiting potential cooperation partners in metal industry

At the end of May, representatives from Materize industry collaboration unit and Laboratory of Materials Morphology of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia visited Liepāja, which is known for its strong metalworking industry traditions for many decades.

The aim of the visit was to establish contacts with the metal industry and talk about the possible cooperation opportunities with the companies located in Liepāja, such as Hidrolats, Metalcastings, Metālmeistars, Lesjofors Springs LV, Caljan, Jenssen Metal, as well as Liepāja University.

The visit followed after the successful MASOC (Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia) cluster members’ meeting at the ISSP UL in February.  

MASOC is a voluntary non-governmental organization that was founded in 1994 as the industry-informative Advisory Centre to promote the development of the sector as well as to facilitate mutual cooperation and professional development of specialists in the sector.
