Sharing experience about organizing ISSP UL workshops in the 2nd Teaming Club Conference

ISSP UL’s Development department coach, Edīte Kalniņa, representing Camart2 WP1, participated in the 2nd Teaming Club Conference hosted by InnoRenew CoE and taking place in Izola, Slovenia, from September 27 to September 30.

Edīte Kalniņa participated at the conference as a panelist in the Human Resources Panel (Panel No.2), sharing experiences about workshops at the ISSP UL and other Learning & Development issues, and she also participated in parallel session’s Health sub-group meeting.

ISSP UL representative’s objectives for attending the conference were to obtain contacts for possible cooperation with a focus on future Horizon Europe (HE) project submissions, gain new ideas, discuss possibilities of cooperation in Learning & Development; share and gain experience in HR  and Learning & Development issues and opportunities for scientists,  understand the dynamic landscape of HE projects; and learn about European Commission’s recent highlights in HE project calls and project evaluations.

The overall objective of the conference was to share experiences, network for sustainability, and communicate jointly with the European Commission. Representatives from the European Commission were also present at the conference, and they presented the support of periodic reporting towards the sustainability of the projects and the new widening instruments with the potential support for the sustainability aspects of Teaming projects.

At the conference, different panels were organized where advanced partners from all Teaming projects shared their experiences and lessons learned, their unique experiences in hiring and retaining experienced researchers with other participants.  A special session was dedicated to sustainability and the role of centers of excellence in the European research landscape.

Later, participants joined Parallel sessions according to the focus of their project – Materials & Physics, Digital, Biotech & Agriculture, Health & Environment, and Culture & Education, aiming to discover synergies and enable collaborations.

Participants also had the chance to visit the InnoRenew CoE research laboratories. The conference ended with a special ceremony that the InnoRenew CoE organized to conclude the InnoRenew project.
